Golden Haven Leads the Way in Sustainable Death Care Solutions

Golden Haven Memorial Parks, a leader in the death care industry in the Philippines, is committed to exploring innovative ways to make memorialization more sustainable. In a world increasingly focused on protecting the environment, Golden Haven is ensuring that our services progressively become eco-friendly without sacrificing the emotional support and care that grieving families expect during such significant moments.

As part of our ongoing mission to provide meaningful, high-quality services, we are ensuring our memorial parks, cremation services, and memorialization services to meet the rising demand for environmentally conscious death care solutions. This direction reflects both our values as a company and our desire to offer future generations a greener, more sustainable legacy.

Golden Haven's Vision for Green Memorial Parks

As the first company in the Philippines to offer themed memorial parks, Golden Haven has always been a trailblazer in death care. Today, we are once again leading the way by incorporating eco-friendly practices into our operations. Our vision is to transform traditional burial grounds into green spaces that not only honor loved ones but also protect the planet.

Golden Haven Memorial Park is moving toward sustainability through innovative solutions such as:

  • Developing vertical columbariums to reduce land usage
  • Using solar powered lights in our parks and some offices to reduce the carbon emissions
  • Promoting green landscaping, where indigenous plants and trees flourish

These efforts allow families to memorialize their loved ones while contributing to the conservation of natural resources.

Vertical Development: Sustainable Space Management

San Ezekiel Church at Night

One of Golden Haven’s key innovations is the use of vertical development for columbariums, offering families a space-efficient and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional burial plots. By going vertical, we minimize the environmental footprint associated with land use while providing families with dignified memorialization options.

This shift not only reduces the need for extensive burial grounds but also supports our goal of creating memorial parks that blend harmoniously with nature, reflecting the peaceful beauty that families seek when visiting their loved ones.

Golden Haven is actually the first memorial company to have vertical memorial options all throughout the country. In majority of our parks, we have a node columbarium, embodying the parks theme and providing a special memorialization option, all while conserving land use.

Reducing Carbon Footprints with Cremation

Golden Haven is also exploring ways to reduce the environmental impact of cremation, which, while more space-efficient than traditional burial, can contribute to carbon emissions. Our cremation procedure is ethical and environmetally friendly, complying with DENR's standards. In fact, our cremation machine itself produces little to no smoke emmission.

We prioritize offering our columbariums and cremations services as these help avoid embalming chemicals that can potentially harm the environment. While embalming is a worldwide standard procedure that is accepted by many and may not change anytime soon, we try to do our part by educating one Golden Haven client at a time that there are better options.

Golden Haven’s Commitment to Reforestation

Las Pinas Promenade Trees

Golden Haven believes that the way we honor life’s end should leave a positive impact on the environment. That's why we are incorporating reforestation initiatives into our memorial parks. These initiatives not only beautify our spaces but also serve as lasting tributes to the lives they commemorate. By planting trees in our parks, we help combat deforestation and enhance the ecological health of the surrounding communities.

Our memorial parks are designed to be more than just resting places—they are sanctuaries where nature thrives and families can find solace knowing that their loved ones are resting in an environment that gives back to the earth.

Eco-Friendly Funeral Services and Memorialization Options

Golden Haven recognizes the growing desire for eco-friendly funeral services, and we are proud to offer options that reflect this changing mindset. From biodegradable urns to eco-friendly caskets, we provide families with options to honor their loved ones in a manner that respects the planet.

Most importantly, we are now developing our newest concept of natural burials. Our newest offering, the "Memory Tree" offers a poignant way to commemorate those who have passed on. Clients can choose to have the cremated remains of up to two individuals interred beneath the canopy of these living monuments. Each tree will feature a personalized stone marker inscribed with the names of the departed, ensuring their memory is forever etched in the hearts of those who visit.

By choosing the Memory Tree as a memorialization option, families are actively participating in environmental conservation. Each Memory Tree serves as a living monument that not only honors the departed but also contributes to the environment by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, thereby mitigating the effects of climate change.

How Golden Haven Supports Communities through Green Practices

By leading the charge for greener practices in the death care industry, Golden Haven is not just helping the environment—we are helping our communities. Our green initiatives contribute to the well-being of local ecosystems, reduce pollution, and help create healthier spaces for future generations to enjoy.

We believe that by offering sustainable death care, we can positively impact not only grieving families but also the wider community, showing that it is possible to provide the support families need while also taking responsibility for the environment.

At Golden Haven, we understand the delicate balance between providing exceptional service and safeguarding the environment. As the death care industry in the Philippines continues to evolve, we remain committed to leading the way in sustainability. By integrating green practices such as vertical columbariums, natural burials, and reforestation into our memorial parks, we are ensuring that the legacy we leave behind is one of care—not just for our loved ones, but for the planet.

Golden Haven is dedicated to exploring new and better ways to provide death care services that reflect both compassion and sustainability, without compromising the heartfelt support that families are looking for in their time of need.
